Hi! I’m Taylor Varron.
I am a portrait artist from Cary, NC who specializes in acrylic paint to bring my subjects to life. There is so much beauty in the world that I want to capture that same beauty within my art.
Although my artwork is continuously evolving, one thing remains the same and that is to create artwork that is unique to you in hopes that it will continue to spread joy and light to your own home.
About the Artist
I am a fine artist, and I discovered my passion in the cobblestone streets of Florence.
Art has always been a big part of my life. Growing up I took many art classes but none really compared to my drawing class abroad. During college, I studied for a semester in Florence, Italy where I was able to immerse myself in the art culture and focus on my drawing practice. My art teacher was a big influence on me. He introduced me to so much in that one semester, from drawing live models to drawing from life in the piazza (a public square). His class sparked my passion for drawing people. Whenever I was drawing in public, locals would often stop to watch, telling me my work was bellisima -beautiful- and asking if they could buy it. It was those moments of connection that made me realize how powerful art can be.
I love making art, but even more so, I love seeing something I create bring others so much joy.
Years later when the pandemic hit and I lost my job, I returned to my passion- taking on pet portrait commissions. What started as a pastime hobby became a full commitment to my craft. Seeing how much joy my work brought to others reminded me why I started creating in the first place.
Painting pet portraits lead me to create my own original artwork that is just as unique and authentic, but still sparks a deep connection with you.
I believe that art should be more than just a space filler on a wall. There is always a reason behind why we are so drawn to a specific art piece. Whether it’s the story behind it or the emotion it sparks within us, art reflects who we are.
I was drawn to portraiture because every living creature is so unique and beautiful in their own way. That same belief guides my current work, including a series that blends my love of music with visual art.
Music has always been my muse.
Music can lift us up, heal us, and empower us. One day, I found a stack of old vinyl records discarded near a dumpster. Instead of letting them go to waste, I saw an opportunity to give them new life. I began painting portraits of iconic musicians directly on the records, letting the music guide each brushstroke. Each piece is both a tribute and a connection—to the artist, their music, and the people it touches.
Thank you for being here. I hope my work resonates with you and brings a little more beauty, meaning, and connection into your world.

I am not only an artist but also a cat mom, a traveler, and a foodie.
