Let’s Go Buffalo!

Never would I have guessed that my last painting to end the year of 2022 would be a family of buffalos, but here we are. I always love getting commissions that are unique and different from what I would normally paint. This was one of them. Of all the animals I could paint, buffalos were definitely not at the top of my list, but I also couldn’t say no to this special request. I think I did a pretty good job stepping up to the challenge and making these huge beasts look adorable. What do you think?

Just goes to show to never shy away from a challenge. Although I’ve painted quite a few animals there’s still a first for everything. I’m still learning and still growing, hence why this year and this collection has been so centered around being bold, brave, and strong. It takes a lot of courage and strength to take on something I never thought I would do. And a lot of boldness to say yes in the first place to something I’ve never done before.

So I encourage you as we head into the new year to do the unexpected. Even if it seems scary or intimidating, hopefully it’s still something that excites you. Just have confidence. You never know, you may surprise yourself with the outcome.
