The Inspiration Behind the Piece…
Lately I've been so overwhelmed with the stress of being an adult and falling into the trap of the “should’ve/would’ve/could’ve” that I forget to enjoy the present. Children have a great sense of being carefree and living in the moment. They don't get caught up in the “what if's” or the “has been.” They just enjoy their life as it’s happening. They are present.
I am working on being more present in my life and this jellyfish is a good start. She reminded me to not be so caught up in the little details and to let go of perfectionism. She allowed me to play and be imaginative when painting. My hope for her is that she inspires you to also bring out your childlike wonder and imagination. Allow her to remind you to do something fun and whimsical today. Dance around the room. Eat your favorite ice cream. Go color or paint or draw. Build a snowman (if you have snow where you live).
